Parish Groups… Opportunities to get involved…

The Lambuth Area Neighborhood Association (L.A.N.A.) will kick off a new program called Operation Paintbrush on Saturday, July 19th. This program is to assist eligible homeowners whose homes are in need of exterior paint. The program is designed to provide paint and designated supplies as well as technical assistance to eligible homeowners who agree to furnish labor for the painting and repair of their home exteriors. Applicants are screened using the federal guidelines for low and moderate-income families. Typically, these are senior citizens, and most can be classified as very low income. L.A.N.A., along with volunteer from the community, will paint a building and a home on West King Street as the kick-off for this program on July 19th. The streets surrounding this will be closed off and a celebratory “street party” atmosphere is the goal as steps are taken to help these families. For more information or to volunteer, please call Lisa Silver, the L.A.N.A. Executive Director, at 731-267-4702.
